Bar Hopping at Hollywood Studios

drinking around hollywood studios

Hollywood Studios may not have Epcot’s “Drinking Around the World” cred, but it absolutely should. Between the two of us, we’ve spent 10+ years (and way too much money) drinking our way through this park—all in the name of research.

Now, we’re sharing everything we’ve learned—the strongest drinks, the best beer selection, and the ones that aren’t worth your money.

So whether you’re starting your day with a mimosa, cooling off with a frozen cocktail, or winding down with an Old Fashioned, this is your Drinking Around Hollywood Studios cheat sheet. Let’s go.

Where to Grab a Drink at Hollywood Studios

The Morning Wake-Up: Hollywood Scoops

Location: Sunset Boulevard, near Tower of Terror
Hollywood Scoops Menu

Why Go?

  • Hollywood Scoops might be an ice cream stand first, but in the mornings, it’s got a little side hustle—serving up mimosas before 10:30 a.m. And honestly? There’s nothing quite like sipping bubbly (with a splash of OJ) while watching people scream their way down a 13-story drop on Tower of Terror.

Drink to Order:

  • Mimosa – Orange juice and sparkling wine. Simple. Classic. The drink of champions (or at least those of us who think waking up early deserves a reward).

Pro Tip:

  • Mimosas are strictly a morning thing here, with last call at 10:30 a.m. If you snooze, you lose. This has become our go-to rope-drop tradition—because when you’ve dragged yourself out of bed before sunrise to power-walk through a theme park, you deserve bubbles. Sip it in the shade, watch the morning chaos unfold, and know you’ve already won the day.

The Beer Lover’s Dream: BaseLine Tap House

Location: Grand Avenue, next to Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater and near the entrance to Galaxy’s Edge
BaseLine Tap House Menu

Why Go?

  • BaseLine Tap House is one of our favorite places to hang out in all of Walt Disney World. It’s got this industrial-chic brewery aesthetic and a decent lineup of California craft beers. We also think that unlike some of the other places where you can grab something to drink, your options are actually worth the price, and the vibe is just right if you’re looking for a place to just chill out and enjoy being in the park.

Drink to Order:

  • Margarita on Tap – Don’t let the draft setup fool you; this is a legit margarita—smooth, citrusy, and deceptively strong. One of the best quick-service margs on property.
  • Craft Beer Flight – A mix of West Coast brews, perfect for when you can’t decide or just want to pretend you’re at a fancy beer tasting.

Pro Tip:

  • Seating inside is limited, but the outdoor patio is where it’s at anyway. There’s something about sitting under those string lights with a cold beer in hand that just feels right. If we had to name our ‘home bar’ at Hollywood Studios, this would be it. It’s the one spot we hit every single trip—sometimes twice in one day. We usually grab a table right on the edge of the patio so we can people-watch while sipping a cold beer or three.

The Best Mixed Drinks: Tune-In Lounge

Location: Echo Lake next to 50’s Prime Time Cafe
Tune-In Lounge Menu

Why Go?

  • Tune-In Lounge is a full-service bar attached to 50’s Prime Time Cafe and if you are a first-timer, you might actually miss this little hidden gem. But it’s a popular spot, and for good reason. First of all, it’s got that mid-century, grandma’s-living-room aesthetic—but the kind of grandma who definitely had a stash of whiskey in her kitchen cabinet. Then add in the fact that the drinks here are hand mixed – which is a nice change from many of the drink spots at Walt Disney World. Finally, it is inside so even if you don’t get a seat at the bar, at least you are out of the sun for a bit while you wait to order your drink.

Drink to Order:

  • A Double Anything – It’s only $5 more, and you’ll thank yourself later.
  • Indigo Hibiscus – A gin-based drink that’s light, floral, and feels like something you’d sip at a fancy garden party. If I ever start carrying around a parasol for dramatic effect, it’ll be because of this drink.
  • “Loaded” Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen – You know the grapefruit beer from Epcot? Now imagine it with a shot of grapefruit vodka.

Pro Tip:

  • We’ve been here more times than we can count, and every single time, it’s a little different. Some days, it’s packed with families waiting for their 50’s Prime Time table, and other days, it’s just us, a couple of locals, and a bartender who’s been there for years. If you are lucky enough to grab a barstool, you’re in for a good time because this is one of the last true walk-in bars at Disney, which means no reservations, no Lightning Lanes, no mobile order madness. Just good drinks, good vibes, and a solid air-conditioning break from the Florida heat. Bonus: If you ask nicely, the bartenders might even make you something off-menu. We’ve had some of our favorite ‘surprise’ cocktails here just by letting them work their magic.

The Must-Do Experience: Oga’s Cantina

Location: Galaxy’s Edge
Oga’s Cantina Menu

oga's cantina bar

Why Go?

  • Oga’s Cantina is not your average Disney bar experience—this is full-blown Star Wars immersion with a side of intergalactic chaos. It’s loud, it’s crowded, and you’ll probably be sharing a standing table with strangers. But honestly? That’s part of the fun. DJ Rex (a former Star Tours droid) is blasting beats, the drinks look like they belong in a sci-fi lab, and the bartenders commit hard to the theme. It’s weird. It’s wonderful. And if you’ve never been, it’s absolutely worth doing at least once.

Drink to Order:

  • Fuzzy Tauntaun – A citrusy vodka drink that makes your lips and tongue go numb on purpose. No, you’re not having an allergic reaction—that’s just the buzz button foam doing its thing. It’s weird. It’s amazing. You have to try it.
  • Jet Juice – A tiny glass of bourbon, chile liqueur, and fruit juices that packs a serious punch. It’s small, but don’t let that fool you—it hits fast!
  • Outer Rim – A Star Wars spin on a margarita with black salt and passionfruit foam. Think smoky, tart, and slightly dramatic. Like me.

Pro Tip:

  • This place has a 45-minute time limit and a two-drink max, so make your choices count. If you’re a first-timer, go all in on the themed drinks (they’re fun, they’re ridiculous, and they taste better than you’d expect). Oga’s is a spectacle, but we don’t always go. If you’re on a time crunch or just want a solid drink, BaseLine or Brown Derby Lounge are better bets. But if you’ve got first-timers in tow? Then yeah, you kinda have to do it.

The Hidden Gem: Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge

Pro Location: At the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard (attached to the Hollywood Brown Derby)
Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge Menu

brown derby lounge

Why Go?

  • Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is where you go when you want fantastic cocktails and food without the commitment an Advanced Dining Reservation. It’s got old-school Hollywood charm, one of the best drink menus in the park, and a relaxed, open-air setting that feels like a secret spot—except for the fact that every time we go, it’s packed with people who clearly also know the secret.

Drink to Order:

  • Margarita Flight – Three perfectly balanced margaritas (Classic, Blood Orange, and Pomegranate), and honestly, they all slap. The Blood Orange is the star, though.
  • Manhattan – This isn’t some sad, watery Disney cocktail. It’s strong, smooth, and exactly what you want in a classic Manhattan.
  • Grapefruit Cake Martini – Inspired by the famous Hollywood Brown Derby Grapefruit Cake, this is dessert in a glass—but in a very grown-up, dangerously drinkable way. Vanilla vodka, grapefruit liqueur, and a hint of cream make it smooth, citrusy, and absolutely worth ordering.

Pro Tip:

  • We try to plan this stop around meal time. You can get the full Brown Derby menu at the lounge, which means Cobb Salad and cocktails without planning 60 days in advance. Seating is first-come, first-served, and while you can join the walk-up list in the app, we usually just walk by and check for open seats. This is our go-to spot when we want to slow down and actually enjoy a drink, instead of speed-walking through the park with a plastic cup. And if you’re here in the evening the setting sun, the cocktails, the people-watching—it’s honestly pretty perfect.

The Frozen Drink Fix: Ice Cold Hydraulics

Location: Grand Avenue, across from BaseLine Tap House
Ice Cold Hydraulics Menu

Why Go?

  • Ice Cold Hydraulics is one of those spots you could easily walk right past—but don’t. This little stand specializes in boozy frozen drinks, and on a hot Florida day, nothing hits quite like a Jack & Coke slushie. It’s quick, it’s refreshing, and if you’re like us, you’ll find yourself strategically choosing a spot to sit between here and BaseLine Tap House for maximum drink access. #winning

Drink to Order:

  • Frozen Jack & Coke – Classic, simple, and exactly what you want when it’s 95 degrees and you’re questioning all your life choices.
  • Frozen Rum & Coke – The same as above but with rum, because variety is the spice of life, or so they say.

Pro Tip:

  • This is the grab-and-go stop when you need something cold and boozy, fast. There’s no seating, but if you swing over to BaseLine, you can usually find a spot outside and live your best “one drink in each hand” life. We’ve definitely been known to park ourselves at a patio table with a beer from BaseLine in one hand and a frozen Jack & Coke in the other—a true Hollywood Studios power move. If you’re hitting this one mid-crawl, pace yourself—or else you’ll end up with a brain freeze.

The Seasonal Surprise: Sunshine Day Bar

Location: Sunset Boulevard
Sunshine Day Bar Menu

sunshine day bar

Why Go?

Tucked along Sunset Boulevard, the Sunshine Day Bar is a seasonal gem that serves up handcrafted cocktails (not pre-mixed drinks) and select beers like Bud Light, or a Sam Adams seasonal. Because the drinks aren’t pre-made, the line can be a bit slow at times, but it is worth it, we think.

Drink to Order:

  • Blackberry Moonshine Lemonade – A sweet and tangy concoction blending Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine with lemonade, lemon juice, and blackberry syrup.
  • Southside Fizz – A refreshing mix of Hendrick’s Gin, pure cane sugar, lemon juice, topped with soda water

Pro Tip:

Since the Sunshine Day Bar operates seasonally, its availability can be unpredictable. If you find it open during your visit, take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy one of their specialty cocktails.

The Sweet Treat Stop: Woody’s Lunch Box

Location: Toy Story Land near the walkway to Slinky Dog Dash
Woody’s Lunchbox Menu

Why Go:

  • Woody’s Lunch Box is best known for its Totchos and Lunch Box Tarts, but our favorite pick? The Grown-Up’s Lemonade. We think that it’s one of the few pre-mixed cocktails that actually tastes good—sweet, but not syrupy, with just enough of a kick to make you forget you’re surrounded by a thousand screaming excited kids.

Drink to Order:

  • Grown-Up’s Lemonade – A mix of cherry vodka, lemonade, and black cherry purée. It’s fruity, a little tart, and just dangerous enough that you might not realize how fast you’re drinking it.

Pro Tip:

  • Toy Story Land has approximately three inches of shade, and if you think you’re scoring a seat under one of the few umbrellas, I respect your optimism. The trick? Mobile order your drink, then grab it and keep moving. We usually sip this one while making our way to a ride (or, let’s be honest, back to BaseLine for round two). If you do manage to snag a seat, enjoy it—this might be the hardest place to sit down in the entire park.

The Rules of Hollywood Studios Bar Hopping

  1. Start Early – Some places, like Hollywood Scoops, serve morning mimosas. It’s called vacation logic—don’t fight it.
  2. Reservations Matter – Oga’s Cantina needs advance booking (or luck). Tune-In Lounge? No res required, but seats are prized possessions, especially during the heat of the day.
  3. Skip the Weak Stuff – Not all drinks are created equal. Unless you just really don’t want anything strong, there are some you should probably skip. We’ll tell you which ones are worth your time.
  4. Mix it Up – Hollywood Studios has bars, lounges, kiosks, and even a few sleeper hits (like frozen cocktails at Peevy’s Polar Pipeline).
  5. Know When to Grab and Go – Some bars are best for lingering, while others are perfect for a drink-on-the-move situation (i.e., while speed-walking to your next Lightning Lane reservation).

How to Pace Yourself (So You Actually Remember Your Hollywood Studios Bar Crawl)

  • Water Is Your Friend – Ask for a cup of ice water at any counter-service spot. It’s free, and your liver will thank you.
  • Don’t Skip Food – Bar hopping without snacks? Don’t do it. Get the charcuterie at BaseLine or a Cobb Salad at Brown Derby Lounge.
  • Time It Around Rides – Rise of the Resistance after two drinks? Bad idea. Tower of Terror after three? Possibly fun, but also risky but also YOLO?

Final Thoughts: Is Hollywood Studios the Best Park for Drinking?

  • Is it Epcot? No. But does it have some underrated bars, strong drinks, and great spots to relax with a cocktail? Absolutely.
  • Best for Beer? BaseLine Tap House.
  • Best for Cocktails? Tune-In Lounge or Brown Derby Lounge.
  • Best for the Experience? Oga’s Cantina.
  • Best Overall? That depends on your vibe, but Hollywood Studios deserves way more credit for its drinking scene.
