Hi. We are Skye and Arya, and this is a website about drinking at Disney World. Not a Disney site with a cocktail section tucked in the back. The drinks ARE the section.

We are two grown women who go to Walt Disney World every couple of months with a group of friends and zero kids, following a plan that is beautiful at 10 AM and unrecognizable by the time we reach Germany. Skye has been going since 2007, starting with a Food & Wine Festival trip that apparently became a personality trait. Arya joined the habit a few years later and has been making regular Disney World trips since 2010.

Is this the most responsible hobby two adults could have picked? Probably not. Do we regret a single frozen margarita? We do not.

Why the pen names

Skye Ellis and Arya Gold are pen names. There are two reasons, and neither one is exciting.

First, we keep work and fun separate. We both work in the travel industry. This site is what we do on our own time, with our own money, and we like a clear line between the two.

Second, the internet can be a creepy place. Two women posting photos of where they drink, under their real names, is more than we want to hand to strangers. So we don’t.

The pen names are the only made-up part.

Everything else is real. Our trips, our receipts, our photos, our opinions. If a drink got reviewed here, one of us paid for it and drank it. Feelings followed.

How this site makes money

Ads. The ones you are scrolling past right now. Thank you for that, because they pay for the next round of “research.”

We pay for our own trips and our own drinks. We have never taken a free cocktail in exchange for a nice review, and if that ever changes you will read about it on the post, right next to the review.

How we check prices

We watch Disney’s prices like a fox. The prices on this site come from Disney’s menus, the menu boards, and our own receipts, and because we are back every couple of months, we re-check them in person whenever we can. With our own money. Sigh.

Disney raises prices without announcing it, so our posts carry the date the prices were last checked. Spot one that has changed? Tell us and we will fix it, and then we will go find out what the new price tastes like.

Found a mistake?

Use the contact form. We fix errors and note the change on the post. We would much rather be corrected than be wrong, and we are wrong about Norway with some regularity.
