We use AI, just not for the parts that matter. Here is exactly where it shows up and where it never will.
What’s ours
Every trip, price, rating, and opinion on this site comes from one of us. We spend our own hard-earned money on all of it. No way are we letting a bot take the credit.
That means we paid for the drink. We drank the drink. And *we* decided whether it was worth $19. Not AI.
Where AI helps
- Brainstorming topics and titles, and building outlines. We decide what’s worth writing, and then we write it.
- Catching grammar mistakes and tightening a messy draft.
- Suggesting image descriptions for screen readers. It describes images better than we would on our own, and we check every one before it goes up.
- Building the technical stuff: tables, charts, and the code that makes this site look decent. We like things to be pretty, and AI helps with that.
- Our cartoon author avatars. Those are made with AI. The internet is a scary place, especially for women, and we don’t want to put our real images out there. But we still want to look cute.
What AI never does
- Visit, taste, review or rate anything. Duh. Like we’d share, lol.
- Make up prices, experiences or quotes.
- Create photos of real places.
- Write our titles or page descriptions on its own.
And most importantly, at least one of us reads every word before it goes up.
