EPCOT International Festival of the Arts for Adults (2025 Guide)

festival of the arts banner

If you’re into art, Broadway, or cocktails that look too pretty to drink, the EPCOT Festival of the Arts is your kind of festival. It’s easily the most visually stunning event at EPCOT, packed with live performances, hands-on experiences, and food that’s basically edible art.

Whether you’re here to sip colorful drinks, belt out Disney Broadway hits in public (no judgment), or pretend you understand modern art, we’ve got you covered.

Here’s how to do the Festival of the Arts like a pro. (And yes, we’ve included a link to the full food booth guide—because priorities.)

EPCOT Festival of the Arts: Need-to-Know Details

Before we dive into all the best things to see, eat, and do, here are the basics you need to know:

  • What is it? A festival celebrating Visual Arts (paintings, sculptures, interactive murals), Performing Arts (Broadway shows, live musicians, and artists creating magic in real time), and Culinary Arts (because food is art, and this festival proves it).
  • Dates: January 17 – February 24, 2025
  • Location: EPCOT, Walt Disney World
  • Included with Admission: Yes! No extra ticket is needed (though food, drinks, and special experiences cost extra).
  • Best Days to Visit: Weekdays for fewer crowds

Don’t Skip the Festival Passport: Grab one at the park entrance—it’s free and includes all the festival details, from food booths to entertainment schedules. Plus, if you’re doing the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine, you’ll need it for your stamps!

Wander Through the Artful Photo Ops

Disney loves a good photo op, and the Festival of the Arts delivers with giant, interactive paintings you can step inside. Want to recreate “The Scream” because someone spilled their beer on you? Now’s your chance.

Here’s what you can find where:

  • France: Luncheon of the Boating Party – Pierre-Auguste Renoir
  • The American Adventure Pavilion: Washington Crossing the Delaware – Emanuel Gottlieb Leutze
  • Between Italy Pavilion and Germany Pavilion: Mona Lisa – Leonardo da Vinci and The Scream – Edvard Munch
  • Bridge to World Showcase: Teatime with Penguins from Mary Poppins
  • Bridge to World Showcase: Forest Scene from Sleeping Beauty
  • Near Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana: Moana

Take on the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine

If you love a good festival challenge (and who doesn’t?), the Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine is an art-inspired food stroll. Purchase five out of seven designated dishes across the festival, get your Festival Passport stamped, and redeem a free (okay, “free”) prize treat at Deco Delights.

It’s basically a color-themed excuse to eat more dessert—so of course we’re in.

Check Out the Interactive Art Experiences

This isn’t just about staring at art—you get to create it. The festival features workshops and interactive art projects where you can get your hands a little dirty (metaphorically… unless you go overboard with the paint).

  • Paint by Numbers Mural – A massive, community-created mural where you help complete the art.
  • Animation Academy – Learn to draw Disney characters from actual Disney artists.
  • Chalk Art Galleries – Watch 2D and 3D chalk masterpieces come to life along the walkways.
  • Spin Art Experience – Hop on a stationary bike and let your legs create the art.
  • Live Artist Performances at CommuniCore Plaza – On select days, you can watch artists create magic in real-time at CommuniCore Plaza. Whether it’s painters, digital illustrators, or sculptors, these live performances let you see the artistic process unfold right in front of you.

Eat and Drink Your Way Through the Festival

The food booths (called Food Studios) offer some of the most beautifully plated dishes of any EPCOT festival. The drinks are often just as colorful as the art.

Must-Try:

  • Figment’s Inspiration Station – If you’re here for bright, colorful festival treats, this is your spot. Try the Rainbow Cake (with freeze-dried Skittles, because why not?) or a colorful beer flight that’s almost too pretty to drink.
  • Deconstructed Dish Booth – Where deconstructed takes on familiar foods (like a broken-down BLT) make you feel like you’re on Top Chef.
  • Vibrante & Vívido – A vibrant, Latin-inspired booth with beautifully plated cocktails and bites.

Watch an Artist Create Magic in Real-Time

Disney invites real working artists to paint, sketch, and sculpt throughout the festival. You can watch them work, chat with them, and even take home a piece (assuming you haven’t already spent all your money on cocktails).

You’ll find artists all throughout the Festival Marketplaces.

Here is who is meeting when in 2025:

See a Broadway Performance—Yes, at Disney World

Every night, Broadway performers take the stage at 5:30PM, 6:45PM, and 8PM at America Gardens Theatre, bringing Disney classics to life (yes, *real* Broadway stars).

These shows are included with park admission, so you don’t have to pay extra—but if you really want to guarantee a good seat, there’s a Dining Package option where you book a meal at select EPCOT restaurants and get reserved seating.

Do you need it? Probably not. We’ve never had problems snagging seats without it.

Shop for Festival-Exclusive Merchandise

Even if you don’t want to drop cash on fine art, the festival merch is chef’s kiss. Festival-exclusive Spirit Jerseys, mugs, and prints go fast, so grab them early.

Top Pick: The Festival of the Arts Figment Popcorn Bucket is always a hot ticket—because Disney knows we’ll wait in line for hours for cute, overpriced plastic.

Seriously, though – if you are into popcorn buckets, this one is usually adorable and is even available via mobile order in the My Disney Experience App.

Hunt for Hidden Art with the Figment Scavenger Hunt

Even though this is technically for kids, it’s basically just an excuse to Drink Around the World while solving an art-based treasure hunt. Doesn’t that sound like a blast?!

How It Works:

  • Buy a scavenger hunt map for $9.99 plus tax. You’ll find them at lots of shops and festival merchandise booths throughout the park.
  • Find hidden Figment paintings across World Showcase.
  • Redeem your completed map for a prize.
  • Bonus: Grab a drink in each country as a reward for finding Figment!

Bonus Hunt:

Chalk Full of Character – Throughout World Showcase, you’ll find hidden Disney character chalk art tucked into corners and alleyways. Think Luca near the Italy fountain or Dante by Mexico.

It’s just a fun little extra you can do if you’re wandering through the World Showcase.

Watch Spaceship Earth’s Light Show

After the sun sets, Spaceship Earth transforms into an art piece of its own, lighting up with a couple of different Festival of the Arts-inspired light shows: a Figment-themed show featuring the voices of Figment and Dreamfinder from the original Journey Into Imagination and a Muppets’ Rainbow Connection show.

We think it’s the perfect end to an artsy day (or at least, the perfect place to pause before grabbing another drink).

Tell Us What You Think

The EPCOT International Festival of the Arts isn’t just about food—it’s an immersive, interactive experience that lets you appreciate creativity in all forms. Whether you’re into Broadway, painting, or just drinking your way around a gallery, it’s easily one of the best EPCOT festivals for adults. We absolutely love it – and we think you will, too!
