The BEST Drinks and Snacks from the France Pavilion (Drinking Around the World)

france drinks and snacks drinking around the world

Out of all of the pavilions in the World Showcase of EPCOT, the France Pavilion has seen the largest amount of expansion in recent years, and that has made Drinking Around the World there even more fun than it already was.

Known for its wine and alcoholic slushies in the fancy plastic glasses, the France Pavilion is a fun place to hang out as you make the loop around the World Showcase Lagoon, but if you’re struggling with trying to decide what to get on your stop here, we can help.

Here’s our picks for the best drinks and snacks in the France Pavilion of Epcot.

Drinking Around the World Showcase – France Pavilion

Compared to the nearby Morocco Pavilion (which isn’t very wide), the France Pavilion feels HUGE and includes not only several places where you’ll be able to grab a drink and/or snack, but also the popular attraction Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.

That paired with its close location to the International Gateway makes it an extremely popular stop off for Drinking Around the World participants – including us!

Here’s a handy graphic that you can save to your phone with our recommended top picks. But don’t stop here! We’ve got in-depth info on our favorites below.

The frozen cocktail slushes that you’ll find here are one of the most popular options when Drinking Around the World.

You’ll find different flavors available in several places throughout the pavilion, including the festival booth (when open). In addition to the slushes, of course the wine here is extremely popular, too. I mean, this IS France – and what would a stop in France be without a glass or 2 of wine?!

Just a heads-up: When we talk about ‘Drinking Around the World,’ we are focusing on the places where you can grab a quick drink and soak up all the cool atmosphere each pavilion has to offer. While Table Service restaurants often boast an extensive selection of additional drink options, we’ve chosen to spotlight the grab-and-go choices in this guide.

How much will all this cost?

The drinks in France tend to be on the pricier end. Glasses of wine and beer will start at around $8.00 to $10.00, but they quickly jump in price up to $22.00 for a glass of Champagne. On the cocktail side, the slushes start at about $15.00 and go all the way up to $22.00.

Disney prices change all. the. time. We’ve tried listing the exact prices before, only to be burned over and over by Disney tweaking things.

So, we’ve opted to keep the exact prices off and instead go with averages or ranges.

Honestly, just know that while the total may look scary now, after a couple stops you really don’t care so much about the cost anymore. Just kidding. Kind of.

Our Favorite Drinks and Snacks in France

We honestly haven’t had anything that we DON’T like here. When it is hot out, the slushes are a delicious distraction from the fact that we are roasting from the ground up. We enjoy a cold Kronenbourg beer, too – and the wine selection here is as impressive as what you’ll find over in the Italy Pavilion.

Here are a couple of our top picks – but if none of these sound like something you’d like, don’t worry. We have a list of all of the top drinks and snacks down below.

Kronenburg 1664 France in epcot

Type of Item: Draft Beer
Where to Find It: Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie
Average Price: $9.95 for 12 oz
Our Rating:

Description: Classic French lager that has been brewed since 1664 and is crisp and refreshing with a hoppy aroma.

Why We Love It: This lager is always on point—smooth, crisp, and a hit with most crowds. It may not be the life of the party, but it sure knows how to get the job done right.

Orange Grand Marnier Slush France in epcot

Type of Item: Cocktail
Where to Find It: Les Vins des Chefs de France
Average Price: $14.95
Our Rating:

Description: A frozen cocktail made with Grand Marnier, Grey Goose Orange Vodka, and orange juice.

Why We Love It: If you’re a fan of frozen drinks, love zesty orange flavors, and enjoy feeling très sophistiqué (or as classy as can be while drinking out of a plastic cup in a theme park), grab this drink right away! This is our favorite flavor variation of all the France slushes.

Baguette France in epcot

Type of Item: Snack
Where to Find It: Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie
Average Price: $4.00
Our Rating:

Description: Freshly baked baguette, available as a full loaf or half. Perfect for sharing.

Why We Love It: This baguette is easily one of the best value snacks in all of Disney World, and it’s downright delicious. We love to walk around Aladdin-style taking bites straight from the whole baguette. I like to think this makes us cultured.

France has 5 places (plus a festival booth) where it is easy to grab a quick drink or snack. Les Vins de Chefs de France and the festival booth are both along the main walkway which makes them a popular stop for lots of people strolling through the World Showcase.

If you go a bit further into the pavilion, you’ll also find Boulangerie Patisserie les Halles (a Quick Service restaurant that serves everything from quiche to loaves of bread to delicious French pastries), L’Artisan des Glaces which is home to an Ice Cream Martini and La Creperie de Paris which has both a sit down Table Service restaurant as well as a walk up counter where you can grab a crepe and drink.

But for sake of this list, we’re going to stick with your top drink choices from the plethora of Quick Service spots.

Seasonal and Festival Drinks & Snacks

In addition to the regular kiosks and restaurants, France also has a booth in every Epcot Festival – and it is always one of the most popular booths. If your plan is to try things here, we recommend rope dropping it (meaning showing up a little bit before it opens at 11:00 a.m.).

france festival booth

When participating in challenges for Drinking Around the World, some people take multiple days and include nearby booths from countries not represented in the original 11 of the World Showcase. We have links to the menus for all of the festivals below:

Tips and tricks

Alcohol at park opening

Boulangerie Patisserie les Halles opens at 9:00 a.m., unlike most places in the World Showcase which open at 11:00 a.m. This means you can start your Drinking Around the World adventure early with a French pastry and a Mimosa. It doesn’t get much more perfect than that!

Bathrooms are in the back

The expansion of the France pavilion brought with it a much needed restroom. There has always been a small bathroom inside of Les Halles, but now you can also find a much larger bathroom back by La Creperie de Paris.

Outdoor seating is limited

Despite its large size, the France Pavilion has limited seating. However, you’ll find some metal bistro tables scattered around and a few standing tables behind the France festival booth.

Additionally, you can often find seating along the fountains, which can be a good option in a pinch. There is also a small indoor dining area inside of Boulangerie Patisserie les Halles, but during prime meal times or if it is hot or rainy, it can be very difficult to snag a table there.

Try to catch the entertainment

Like every pavilion in the World Showcase, you’ll find unique entertainment here throughout the day. In France, that means a street performer called Serveur Amusant who is a comedic balancing act. Check the My Disney Experience app for performance times.

Great first stop if entering at the International Gateway

France is very close to the International Gateway (the secondary entrance to Epcot), making it a great first stop if you plan to enter from there. if entering at the International Gateway, we recommend heading towards Morocco next and working your way around counter clockwise to take advantage of the lower crowds in the back of the World Showcase as most people will be entering from either Canada or Mexico at the front.

Take a ride on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

If you are planning to arrive to EPCOT for Rope Drop AND you’ll be entering from the International Gateway, we recommend taking a ride on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure first and then heading over to Les Halles for breakfast and a drink.

If you plan to hit France later in the day, you’ll likely find a long line with waits 60 minutes or more, so if this is a must-ride for your group, we recommend considering Lightning Lane Multi Pass or hopping in line at the very end of the day.

La Creperie de Paris has a walk-up window

This relatively new addition at the back of the France Pavilion offers both a Quick Service window and a sit-down Table Service restaurant. The crepes and galettes (savory crepes) are delicious and a great option if you’re looking for something authentically French to dine on.
