Italy isn’t where you go to ride anything, meet anyone, or really do anything. It’s where you go to stand around looking fancy with a drink in hand while EPCOT’s most expensive pizza taunts you from across the courtyard.
Whether you’re hiding from the Florida sun in a wine cellar, lingering over a cocktail by the fountain, or grabbing a Bellini and people-watching like a pro, this is one of the best places in World Showcase for adults who want to slow down and enjoy EPCOT at their own pace.
In this guide, we’ll cover:
- The best places to sit, sip, and vibe – Whether you want shade, A/C, or the best people-watching spot, we’ve got you.
- What to eat and drink (and what to skip!) – Because not all Bellinis are created equal, and some snacks are just here to waste your money.
- How Italy fits into a perfect adult EPCOT day – Your best bets depending on the time of day.
So whether you’re channeling your inner sommelier at Tutto Gusto, cooling off with boozy gelato, or just looking for an excuse to pretend you own a yacht, here’s how to make the most of the Italy Pavilion at EPCOT.
Why Italy is One of the Best World Showcase Stops for Adults
Italy may not have the biggest party vibes like Mexico or the United Kingdom Pavilion, and it doesn’t have a must-do ride like France. But that’s exactly what makes it one of the best pavilions for adults.
It’s a place to slow down, sip something delicious, and enjoy EPCOT at a different pace, whether you’re looking for a break from the crowds, a romantic spot, or just a great drink in a beautiful setting.
Why Italy is a Must-Stop for Adults:
- A great mix of quick bites & sit-down experiences (so you can go all-in or keep it casual).
- Gorgeous ambiance, especially in the evening (one of the most romantic spots in EPCOT!).
- More relaxed & immersive than other pavilions (perfect for slowing down & taking in the scenery).
- Great drinks & food without the chaos (you can sip & enjoy rather than rush through).
- Perfect pre-fireworks stop with “hidden” seating & scenic views.
- An ideal break spot during the heat of the day (especially with Tutto Gusto’s A/C!).
Whether you’re hiding from the Florida sun in a wine cellar, lingering over a cocktail by the fountain, or grabbing a Bellini and people-watching like a pro, this is one of the best places in World Showcase for adults who want to slow down and enjoy EPCOT at their own pace.
Where to Relax & Soak in the Atmosphere
Italy is one of the pavilions in World Showcase where you can truly sit back, slow down, and enjoy the scenery, but choosing where to do that makes all the difference.
While there are plenty of seating areas, the pavilion is mostly stone and hard surfaces that soak up the Florida sun, so timing matters if you want to be comfortable.
Best Places to Sit & Chill
Near the Stage (Great Atmosphere, But Zero Shade)
The center of Italy’s pavilion has a raised platform and the area around that looks scenic and inviting because it gives you great views of all the architecture of the pavilion. That is it looks inviting until you realize there’s no shade and it’s basically EPCOT’s largest heat reflector. It’s great for people-watching, not so great for staying cool. But, there are usually a few tables with umbrellas over near the fountain of Neptune, so if one of those are open try to grab it.
Best for: People watching in the evenings after the sun has gone down.

The “Hidden” Courtyard (Shady & Often Overlooked)
This little nook tucked away in the back of the pavilion is perfect for escaping the crowds and grabbing a shady table with an umbrella.
- Best for: A mid-afternoon escape when the main areas are too crowded.
Inside Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar (Dark, Cozy & Feels Like a Secret Clubhouse)
If you need a break from the Florida sun, this is the spot. Dim lighting, cold A/C, and strong drinks? Absolute perfection.
- Best for: Cooling off, grabbing a drink, and taking a break from crowds.

Best Drinks & Snacks to Elevate the Experience
You’re here for the drinks, and thankfully, Italy delivers. From strong espresso martinis to dangerously easy Bellinis, this pavilion knows how to keep the adult side of EPCOT well-hydrated. But not everything is worth your money, so let’s talk about what’s actually worth sipping.

Instead of just grabbing the first Bellini you see, here’s how to choose the perfect drink or snack based on your mood, timing, and vibe.
If You Want to Feel Fancy & Indulgent – Head to Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar
(For those “treat yourself” moments when you want something a little extra.)
- Italian Martini – A smooth blend of citrus vodka, limoncello, and triple sec. Bright, zesty, and the closest you’ll get to feeling like you’re sipping cocktails on the Amalfi Coast, if the Amalfi Coast were inside a theme park with strollers rolling past you.
- Under a Tuscan Sun Wine Flight – A trio of red wines featuring Chianti, Tageto, and Tre Brancaia. Perfect for when you can’t decide and want to feel like you’re in an Italian vineyard.
- L’Alpine Cheese Plate – A mix of Asiago, Gorgonzola, and Truffle Cheese. Pairs beautifully with a bold Italian red and the deep, existential dread of knowing you spent $50 on cheese in a theme park.
Pair it with: A seat inside Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar, where the dim lighting and cozy stone walls make you forget you’re in a theme park.
If You Just Need a Quick Sip – Skip the Long Lines
(For when you’re on the move but still want something good.)
- Bellini at the Wine Cart – Light, fruity, and easy to grab and go. A great choice if you want to look refined while consuming what is essentially boozy peach juice. We say this with zero judgement because we never turn down boozy peach juice. Ever.
- A Glass of Wine from La Bottega Italiana – Less crowded than Tutto Gusto, but still offers great Italian wines. Perfect for when you just want to sip and shop.
- Espresso Martini at Tutto Gusto – Dark. Robust. Caffeinated. One of Italy’s best drinks and also the fastest way to trick your body into thinking you’re both wide awake and mildly drunk at the same time. A thrilling combination.
Pair it with: A spot to watch Sergio, who is a “street” performer who is part mime, part juggler. His act is about 20 minutes long and is performed intermittently throughout the afternoon. He does a lot of interacting with the crowd and is pretty entertaining to watch.

If It’s Hot & You Need a Refreshing Break – Think Cold
(For when you’re melting and need something icy to survive.)
- Boozy Gelato Float at Gelateria Toscana – Ice cream + alcohol = EPCOT happiness.
- Limoncello Mule – A zesty, citrusy cocktail perfect for sipping in the shade.

What to Skip:
- The Festival Booth – Italy’s festival booth is one of those spots where your money goes to die. They’ll charge $14+ for a sad little pasta dish that tastes like something from an airport lounge. Usually a forgettable combo of heavy noodles and an indifferent tomato sauce. And yet, the line is always long. Humanity remains a mystery.
- Prepackaged Lemon Sorbet – It’s fine, but for about the same price, you could get something much better from Gelateria Toscana.

How Italy Fits Into a Great Adult EPCOT Day
Instead of just stopping in Italy for a quick drink, use it as a reset point in your EPCOT day. Whether you’re tackling Drinking Around the World, exploring at a slower pace, or planning a perfect date night or solo trip, timing matters for making the most of this pavilion.
- Morning: A peaceful stroll through the pavilion before crowds pick up. This is also when you’ll get the best photos if you’re into photography.
- Afternoon Escape: Grab a shaded table or step inside Tutto Gusto to cool off. It’s also a great time to contemplate your life choices while sipping an overpriced Limoncello.
- Evening Romance: As the sun sets, Italy’s ambiance levels up, the Italy Pavilion becomes the perfect place for a date night.

What You’ll Find at the Italy Pavilion During EPCOT’s Festivals
In addition to the regular kiosks and restaurants, Italy also has a booth in every Epcot Festival. The Italy festival booth has one of the longest lines and the highest prices. We don’t get it, but apparently people love paying too much for mid-tier festival wine.

Beyond the food and drink, though, The EPCOT pavilion also typically has topiaries and gardens for the Flower and Garden Festival (March – May) and a seasonal storyteller (La Befana, the Christmas Witch) for the Festival of the Holidays (day after Thanksgiving – December 30) who shares the legend of La Befana, a kind-hearted witch who brings gifts to children on Epiphany Eve.

Shops & Unique Souvenirs in the Italy Pavilion
Shopping in the Italy Pavilion always makes us feel extra fancy. You’ll browse gourmet olive oils you’ll never actually cook with, designer handbags that cost more than your park ticket, and wine that will absolutely not survive the flight home (but hey, it’s worth a look).
Where to Browse Like You Have Money to Burn:
- La Bottega Italiana – The best spot for Italian wines, olive oils, and gourmet gifts.
- Il Bel Cristallo – If you want designer handbags, Merano glass items, perfumes, and Italian fashion accessories, this is your stop.
- La Gemma Elegante – Known for Venetian masks and hand-painted ceramics.
If you’re looking for a high-end souvenir (like a bottle of wine or a unique Italian perfume), Italy is a great pavilion to explore. If you’re looking for a practical souvenir, well…maybe just grab a snack and move along.
