Drinking Around the World Showcase – Morocco Pavilion

The Morocco Pavilion may not be super wide (but the pavilion does go pretty far back inside), but it is still packed to the brim with all sorts of amazing drinks and flavors that make Drinking Around the World special.

Here’s a handy graphic that you can save to your phone with our recommended top picks. But don’t stop here! We’ve got in-depth info on our favorites below.

Probably one of the most well known drinks here is Frozen Mint Tea – which is absolutely perfect on a hot day, but you’ll also find an entire counter dedicated to sangria plus several unique beers. And, don’t forget that during one of the EPCOT festivals, Tangierine Cafe doubles as a festival booth where you’ll be able to get cocktails AND flights. I just love that for us.

Just a heads-up: When we talk about ‘Drinking Around the World,’ we are focusing on the places where you can grab a quick drink and soak up all the cool atmosphere each pavilion has to offer. While Table Service restaurants often boast an extensive selection of additional drink options, we’ve chosen to spotlight the grab-and-go choices in this guide.

How much will all this cost?

Most of the drinks in the Morocco Pavilion are priced between $11.00 and $16.00, with the frozen mint tea being on the higher end and beers on the lower.

Disney prices change all. the. time. We’ve tried listing the exact prices before, only to be burned over and over by Disney tweaking things.

So, we’ve opted to keep the exact prices off and instead go with averages or ranges.

Honestly, just know that while the total may look scary now, after a couple stops you really don’t care so much about the cost anymore. Just kidding. Kind of.

The Morocco Pavilion has a little bit of a unique set up.

The Tangierine Cafe, a Quick Service restaurant in the Morocco Pavilion, also serves as the pavilion’s festival booth. Unlike other festival booths, the Tangierine Cafe is open year-round. During festivals, it adds a few exclusive items to the menu, and we absolutely love all of it! Whether it’s the regular menu or the festival specials, the food here is consistently amazing.

In addition to that spot, when it comes to spots to grab a quick drink or snack, you also have a window called Oasis Sweets & Sips (which is where you get the Frozen Mint Tea), a bar inside of Spice Road Table, and a counter at the back of the pavilion called Sangria Sips.

Morocco seating in pavilion at epcot

If you’re looking for a full meal, Tangierine Cafe (the Quick Service Restaurant) and Spice Road Table are your best bets. There used to be a restaurant here called Restaurant Marrakesh, but it closed down several years ago and has never reopened. The space is sometimes used for things like an Annual Passholder lounge, though, so it’s still there; it just isn’t being used as a restaurant.

As we mentioned above, in addition to the regular kiosks and restaurants, Morocco also has festival exclusive items. But the Moroccan festival booth isn’t really a booth – it’s the Quick Service restaurant called Tangierine Cafe. We typically LOVE all the options here – and you’ll find that the food prices are very reasonable, in our option.

When participating in challenges for Drinking Around the World, some people take multiple days and include nearby booths from countries not represented in the original 11 of the World Showcase. We have links to the menus for all of the festivals below:

Tips and tricks

The Morocco Pavilion can be deceiving because it looks quite small. And, while it isn’t as big as say the Italy Pavilion, it still has a lot of places to explore.

So, if you’re looking for something OTHER than drinking to do, make sure you spend a couple minutes wandering back through the bazar to explore the shops you’ll find there.

Take some time to appreciate the architecture

While the very, VERY popular phallic photo spot is now gone, and a bunch of the tile has been downgraded to bathroom quality vs the former gorgeous Moroccan tile that was there, this pavilion is still lovely and full of fun spots for photos and selfies, so take some time to wander through the narrow streets and admire the beautiful mosaics and archways.

Catch the entertainment

There is a small stage on the Japan side of the pavilion where you’ll often find live music and often times belly dancers. Check the My Disney Experience app for showtimes, and if you can, time it so you can catch one of the shows.

Do some shopping

There are lots of shops to wander through in the Morocco Pavilion – both up along the main walkway and back further inside. We love poking around and taking a look at all the fun items for sale here. The bright colors and fabrics spark lots of joy!

Take a seat

There isn’t a ton of seating here, but for the size of the pavilion, it feels like it. There are tables in the courtyard area near the entrance of Tangierine Cafe, along with some tables both inside and outside the restaurant. Plus, if you go in further back to where Sangria Sips is located, you’ll find a few tables there, too. As a bonus, that area is mostly shady, as well!

Convenient bathrooms

Just past Tangierne Cafe (on the side closest to the France Pavilion) are bathrooms. These bathrooms aren’t nearly as large as the ones in the American Adventure Pavilion, but they have always come in handy for us!

Fireworks with a view

Spice Road Table offers special EPCOT firework dining packages where you can pay to have dinner AND watch the EPCOT firework show Luminous. To be totally honest, we’ve done both this one AND the one at Rose and Crown (UK Pavilion) and we much prefer the Rose and Crown option.

Tell us what you think

And that’s it! All the ins and outs of the Morocco Pavilion’s best drinks and snacks. Do you plan to try one of our recommendations? Did we leave your favorite off the list? We value your input, even (or especially) when it differs from ours. Plus, we know other readers appreciate varying perspectives, so please take a second to drop your thoughts in the comments!
