Drinking Around the World at EPCOT (2026 Guide: Best Drinks, Costs & Strategy)

germany pavilion drinks and snacks

Drinking Around the World at EPCOT is exactly what it sounds like: you drink (responsibly-ish) in all 11 World Showcase pavilions, usually one drink per country, usually while walking a 1.2-mile loop in Florida heat. It’s one of the most popular adult traditions at Disney World, and it’s also one of the easiest ways to accidentally turn a fun afternoon into a full-body regret.

This 2026 guide is based on our most recent crawls and menu price checks. We’re sharing the drinks we’d actually buy again, the smartest way to pace it (Canada start vs Mexico start vs International Gateway), what it costs now that everything is $15, and the small survival tricks that keep you upright through fireworks.

Also, we love EPCOT, but we’re not going to pretend every neon slush is “iconic.” Some drinks are worth the hype. Some are just syrup with confidence. We’ll show you the difference.

The Strategy: Marathon or Sprint?

In our experience, where you start determines how your day ends.

Option A: The Canada Start (The “Pro” Marathon)

Our 2026 Recommendation. Starting in Canada allows you to warm up with lighter beers and ciders while the sun is at its peak. You’ll save the heavy, high-proof tequila for the evening when the temperature drops.

  • Best For: Families, casual drinkers, and anyone who actually wants to see the fireworks.
  • The Vibe: Civilized tour that slowly devolves into a party.

What about if you enter through the International Gateway? If you’re entering via the Skyliner or a Boardwalk-area resort, you’re dropping in between the UK and France; we suggest heading left toward France to start your “Canada” loop or right toward the UK to begin the “Mexico” sprint, rather than walking all the way to the front of the park.

Option B: The Mexico Start (The “All-In” Sprint)

This is the “Traditionalist” route, but it’s “high-risk”. You’re hitting the strongest drinks in the park (Tequila and Coffee Liqueur) right at the beginning.

  • Best For: Groups who want the “Hard Stuff” out of the way while their stomachs are full of breakfast.
  • The Warning: This is where we see most people accidentally turn it into a sprint and tap out by the American Adventure. We are most people. Oops.

Option C: The International Gateway

If you’re entering via the Skyliner or a Boardwalk-area resort, you don’t need to trek to the front of the park to start. You’ll drop in right between the UK and France through the International Gateway.

  • For the Canada Start: Head straight through the UK toward Canada.
  • For the Mexico Start: Turn right toward France and begin the long loop around.
  • The “Local” Choice: Just start right there! Grab your first drink in the UK or France and work your way around.

Pavilion-by-Pavilion Breakdown

Here’s a breakdown of our most recent Drinking Around the World choices:

Mexico

The Choice: Avocado Margarita from La Cava (inside the pyramid) (~$18.50)

Avocado Margarita info card

Non-Alcoholic Pick: Conga Fruit Punch

Skye & Arya’s Take: If you start your challenge in Mexico, just know: the margaritas are definitely not here to mess around. They’re strong, sneaky, and responsible for 90% of the bad decisions made in the World Showcase. We might have had two and drank the first one while sitting inside at La Cava eating chips and queso in the AC. Don’t judge us.

avocado margarita
  • What to Expect: Thick, creamy (does anyone else hate that word? Just us? Cool.), and surprisingly balanced for a frozen drink. It’s a “worth the hype” classic.
  • Pro Tip: Skip the premade margaritas from the outdoor stand. They’re weaker and not worth the cash. Head inside the pyramid to La Cava del Tequila. You can sit inside and drink (great for if it is rainy or hot) OR get one to go in a plastic cup.

Norway

The Choice: Frozen Viking Coffee (~$15.50) from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe

frozen viking coffee infographic

Non-Alcoholic Pick: Kristoff Kaffe (also at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe) – frozen coffee topped with chocolate cereal puffs.

Skye & Arya’s Take: The next logical step after tequila? Coffee. Frozen. Because Florida. This little number somehow convinces your body you’re both hydrated and productive.Spoiler: it’s neither. But it is delicious, and it had enough caffeine to wake us back up!

  • Pro Tip: Skip the beer cart unless you’re just really into Carlsberg. Head to Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. If you’re hungry, this is the time to grab School Bread; it’s the best $5 carb-buffer in the park.
  • What to Expect: Baileys and Kahlúa blended into a coffee slush. It’s basically an adult Frappuccino.

China

The Choice: Honey Hibiscus Hard Tea (~$13.00) from the Joy of Tea stand

honey hibiscus hard iced tea infographic

Non-Alcoholic Pick: Honey Hibiscus Iced Tea (Zero-Proof) also from the Joy of Tea stand. Same vibe, none of the buzz.

Skye & Arya’s Take: After the heaviness of the first two stops, China is where we look for something that doesn’t feel like a meal. This tea is absolute **chef’s kiss**; it’s floral, light, and easy to put away when the pavement is hitting 100 degrees. Plus, it’s one of the best “bang for your buck” sizes in the park!

  • Pro Tip: Skip the generic beer options; you can get those anywhere. The Joy of Tea stand usually has a line, but it moves fast. This is also a great drink to share if you’re trying to keep your pace steady.
  • What to Expect: Organic tea, light rum, and blueberry boba. Refreshing without being syrupy.

Germany

The Choice: Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Beer (~$11.50) from the Bier Cart or Sommerfest

Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen beer in the germany pavilion at epcot

Non-Alcoholic Pick: Mezzo Mix (orange Coke, imported from Germany). Sweet, fizzy, and unique.

Skye & Arya’s Take: At this point in the challenge, we were feeling fantastic and also very much in need of a carb situation. This beer is low-alcohol and crisp, which kept us from pushing things too hard.

  • Pro Tip: Do not, we repeat, do not, skip the Giant Soft Pretzel at the Bier Cart. It is the ultimate alcohol-buffer. If you’re doing a full crawl, the pretzel is a mandatory survival requirement.
  • What to Expect: Light, citrusy, and wildly easy to drink. It’s the “break” your liver needs.

Italy

The Choice: Espresso Martini (~$18.50) from Tutto Gusto

Espresso martini from tutto gusto in the italy pavilion of epcot

N/A Pick: San Pellegrino Sparkling Sodas

Skye & Arya’s Take: This is the part of the challenge where you either crash… or rally. Italy gave us the rally. We made our way to the back of the pavilion to Tutto Gusto (why does the Italy pavilion have so much hot pavement?!) and ordered this. It was smooth, bougie, and just caffeinated enough to convince us we were invincible. It’s smooth, bougie, and just caffeinated enough to convince you that you’re invincible. (Spoiler: we weren’t, but we felt great for the next twenty minutes.)

  • Pro Tip: Skip the overpriced wine flights at the outdoor kiosks. Head inside to the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. It’s dark, quiet, and air-conditioned; a literal oasis when the World Showcase is packed.
  • What to Expect: Vanilla vodka and coffee liqueur. No cream, just pure energy. It’s also kinda small, but strong.

American Adventure

The Choice: Tennessee Lemonade (~$16.50) from Regal Eagle’s outdoor bar

tennessee lemonade from regal eagle smokehouse and outdoor bar in american adventure pavilion at epcot

Non-Alcoholic Pick: Berry Punch

Skye & Arya’s Take: Ah, the halfway point. This is where weaker drinkers tap out. Fueled by pretzels and some alcohol-enhanced confidence, we stumbled walked into the pavilion and grabbed this sweet, peachy whiskey cocktail that made us feel patriotic-ish.

  • Pro Tip: Use the outdoor bar at Regal Eagle Smokehouse. More importantly: This is your mandatory water stop. Go inside Regal Eagle to the self-serve water station. Drink two full cups before you even think about moving to Japan.
  • The Vibe: Strong, tangy, and arguably the most generous whiskey pour in the park.
  • More Info: Full America Pavilion Guide

Japan

The Choice: Violet Sake (~$12.50) from the Garden House stand

violet sake japan

N/A Pick: Ramune Soda (the marble-top bottle is half the fun)

Skye & Arya’s Take: Japan is one of the most beautiful pavilions to just be in. We love to grab this at the Garden House stand and find a shaded spot across the way to put our feet up. It’s bright purple, unapologetically sweet, and basically EPCOT’s version of a friendship bracelet. It is physically impossible to carry this drink without getting three compliments.

  • Pro Tip: If you want a drier, more “serious” drink, skip the stand and head to the Sake Bar tucked in the back of the Mitsukoshi department store. It’s a hidden gem that most tourists walk right past. You can also get the Violet Sake as part of a cocktail flight.
  • What to Expect: Pretty, floral, and surprisingly refreshing despite the sugar.
  • More Info: Full Japan Pavilion Guide

Morocco

The Choice: Frozen Mint Tea (Spiked) (~$16.00) from Oasis Sweets & Sips

frozen mint tea from morocco pavilion at epcot

N/A Pick: Frozen Mint Tea (Zero-Proof) Honestly one of EPCOT’s best drinks, period.

Skye & Arya’s Take: This stop came just in time. We were hot. We were fading. We were questioning our life choices. This drink was an actual lifesaver. It’s cool, refreshing, and, most importantly, not carbonated. It gave us just enough energy to pretend we weren’t starting to sweat tequila. And whiskey. And sake.

oasis sweets and sips morocco
  • Pro Tip: This drink is quite large and melts fast in the Florida sun. It’s a perfect one to share if you’re trying to stay upright for the final two countries.
  • What to Expect: Cold, tart, and lightly caffeinated. It’s arguably the most refreshing drink in the entire lagoon.
  • More Info: Full Morocco Pavilion Guide

France

The Choice: Grand Marnier Orange Slush (~$15.00) from Les Vins des Chefs de France kiosk

orange grand marnier slush from france pavilion epcot drinking around the world epcot

N/A Pick: Frozen Lemonade – basic, yes, but hits the spot in Florida heat.

Skye & Arya’s Take: France is where everything starts to feel like a brilliant idea. This slush is sweet, strong, and frozen enough to trick your brain into thinking you speak fluent French. (You don’t.) It’s one of the few “tourist favorites” that we actually stand behind every single time.

  • Pro Tip: Don’t get distracted by the generic champagne kiosks. Head to Les Vins des Chefs de France (the kiosk right on the lagoon). If you want to go “extra,” you can pay for an extra shot on top, but the standard pour is already pretty heavy.
  • What to Expect: Icy, boozy, and high-quality. It tastes like a luxury Creamsicle.
  • More info: Full France Pavilion Guide

United Kingdom

The Choice: Imperial Sampler (~$15.00) from Rose & Crown Pub.

imperial sampler from united kingdom pavilion rose and crown pub

N/A Pick: Twinings English Breakfast Tea

Skye & Arya’s Take: By the time we reached the UK, we were deep in our “we could totally move here and live above a pub” phase. We shared the sampler, which gave us the illusion of moderation (lol), and made it feel social instead of just sloppy. The vibe here is exactly what you want for the second-to-last stop.

rose and crown pub united kingdom epcot
  • Pro Tip: Skip the outdoor beer stand and actually go inside the Rose & Crown Pub. The AC and the crowd energy make the drink taste 50% better. Plus, the bartenders here are usually the funniest in the park.
  • What to Expect: A flight of four beers (Guinness, Harp, Boddingtons, and Bombardier).
  • More Info: Full UK Pavilion Guide

Canada

The Choice: Ottawa Apple (~$15.00) from the Canada Popcorn Cart

ottawa apple at canada pavilion in epcot

N/A Pick: Maple Popcorn + Diet Coke

Skye & Arya’s Take: We are pretty sure we remember everything about Canada. This drink tastes like a crisp fall afternoon, if that afternoon involved a heavy pour of Crown Royal and a deep sense of accomplishment. We grabbed a bench by the waterfall to reflect on our journey (which is just code for “sobering up before the walk to the bus”).

  • Pro Tip: Skip the Moosehead lager unless you’re just a die-hard beer fan. You’ve come this far; finish with the whiskey. It’s a “warm” drink that hits perfectly as the sun starts to go down.
  • What to Expect: Crown Royal, apple infusion, and cranberry. Sweet, tart, and potent.

Skye & Arya’s Budget Hack: The “Split & Conquer”

The easiest way to cut the “Damage Report” in half? Share every drink. Not only does this keep the total cost under $90 per person, but it also ensures you aren’t the person EPCOT security is talking about on their radios by 5:00 PM.

Other Money-Saving Tips

If Drinking Around the World is causing pain to your budget, there are ways to save some money:

  • Stick to beer. In nearly every country, beer will be one of the least if not the least expensive option. There’s no shame in a day full of trying beers from around the world. Stick to beer and you’ll save a lot of cash.
  • Purchase items from the festival booths. If you are traveling during the time of year when there is a festival going on, make your purchases from the festival booths where you’ll be able to buy smaller sized drinks with much smaller price tags.
  • Bring your own water. If you are Drinking Around the World you’ll definitely need to stay hydrated with water. Bring your own water or water bottle in to the park with you to save money.

That’s the budget reality. Whether you’re a “stick to beer” strategist or “champagne flight or bust” kind of EPCOT guest, at least now you know what you’re getting into before your credit card statement does.

DATW Survival Guide: What to Pack & How Festivals Change the Game

Look, the 1.2-mile loop is a beast. Beyond just picking the right drinks, you need a literal game plan to handle the logistics of the day.

What’s Actually in Our Bag

Please don’t go This is what we actually use to keep from tapping out by 4:00 PM:

  • Liquid IV or Electrolyte Packets: This is the only way to stay hydrated without drinking five gallons of water. Mix one in during your American Adventure water stop.
  • A Portable Neck Fan: 2026 Florida humidity is a different breed of heat. If you aren’t bringing active cooling, you’re going to have a bad time.
  • Water Bottle: You can get free ice water at quick service spots, but if you plan to be drinking for hours and hours, having a water bottle you can sip from is important.
  • Government-Issued ID: Disney checks everyone. We’ve seen 60-year-olds get denied a pint because they left their license in the hotel room. Don’t let that be you.

The Festival Factor: How the Menus Change

We absolutely love to Drink Around the World during a festival at EPCOT. If you’re visiting during a festival (which is most of the year), the “Standard” menu we listed above is just your baseline. You’ll have tons more options at the festival kiosks PLUS the serving sizes are usually smaller, too (which makes it easier to check out more things.)

FAQs: Drinking Around the World at EPCOT

How long does it take to Drink Around the World at EPCOT?

Plan on 4–6 hours if you’re stopping at every pavilion, longer if you’re taking breaks or hitting festival booths. If you’re rushing, you can do it in 3–4 hours, but honestly, slow and steady is the way to go.

Do you need a park ticket to Drink Around the World?

Yes, you’ll need a regular EPCOT ticket or a Park Hopper ticket if you’re coming from another park. There’s no special ticket for Drinking Around the World, so standard admission is all you need.

Do you need to be 21 to Drink Around the World?

Absolutely. Disney checks IDs everywhere, so bring a valid government-issued photo ID (or a passport if you’re visiting from another country). No ID = no drink, no exceptions.

Can you share drinks while Drinking Around the World?

Absolutely, and we recommend it. Sharing keeps the cost and the alcohol intake more manageable, especially if you want to make it past Germany without calling it quits.

How far is it to walk around EPCOT World Showcase?

It’s about 1.2 miles around the lagoon. Add in detours into shops and food booths, and you’re easily hitting 2+ miles over the crawl. We suggest that you wear real shoes and not the “cute for Instagram” ones.

What time do pavilions start selling alcohol at EPCOT?

Most World Showcase pavilions open and start serving alcohol at 11:00 a.m. There are a few exceptions during festivals (for example, you can get started at park opening in France at Les Halles) or busy seasons, but 11 a.m. is a safe bet for planning your first stop.
